Cookie Policy

Overview

This page is maintained by the Hit Checkout team to explain how the app uses cookies and similar browser storage (local storage, session storage, IndexedDB). We keep this to the minimum needed to run the service — no third-party ad trackers.

What we use

  • Essential (sign-in): a secure token set by our authentication provider so you stay signed in across pages and devices. Without it, sign-in and synced history won't work.
  • Preferences (local storage): your profile traits, occasion, recent verdicts, wishlist, wardrobe, and feedback are cached in your browser so the app is fast and works offline.
  • Session state: short-lived values used during a single visit (e.g. an in-progress upload or open sheet).

What we don't use

  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • No third-party analytics that profile you across other sites.
  • No selling of your data to data brokers.

Managing cookies

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and remove locally cached history, wishlist, and profile data on that device. Anything synced to your account will re-download when you sign back in. To wipe synced data too, use the “Erase all personal data” option inside the Profile sheet.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “last updated” date.
